Candlenuts (Aleurites moluccanus), known locally as Kemiri, are one of Indonesia's signature export commodities. Our candlenuts are harvested from mature trees in the forests of Kalimantan, cleaned, and sun-dried to achieve optimal moisture levels. They are used extensively as a culinary thickener and flavor enhancer in Southeast Asian cuisines, and increasingly in cosmetic formulations for their high oil content and emollient properties.
